Bag unloader prevents combustible dust incidents
The BBU Big Bag Unloader from Gericke USA is available in an ATEX-compliant
design to allow safe operation in hazardous storage and process environments
and promotes workplace safety. Designed for food processors, the explosionproof
discharge station safely unloads powders, pellets and other bulk materials
from bulk bags for transfer to storage or into the process while sealing dust inside.

Automated bag slitter with increased recovery rates
The MINILux from Luxme International is an automated food-grade bag slitter
constructed with self-contained dust collection and recovery. Recovering 1.5% to
2% more product at a rate 1.8 to 2 times faster than a single bag dump station, the
MINILux facilitates a healthy, safe and hygienic working environment by recovering
both airborne and trailing product, according to the company.

Baguette with high hydration rate
With the Authentik Baguette, Mecatherm developed a product that can be baked
before freezing. The Authentik Baguette is baked in a vertical oven, offering efficient
heating by convection. This, combined with the injection of steam at the
start of the bake, gives the baguette a uniform color and shine. On an existing
installation, bakeries can obtain a complete bake by extending the length of the
oven. The time is 18 to 20 minutes compared to 12 minutes for a classic parbaked
baguette.

Dual continuous mixer
The Dual Continuous Mixer from E.T. Oakes increases capacity up to 200%
for the company's largest mixer. Users can operate one product in series or two
products in parallel. Cake batters or icings will now run up to 20,000 lbs per
hour. Using the touch screen, operators can select recipes, auto density controls,
line history and optional operator card readers/ethernet. This CIP-capable unit
has pneumatically actuated drain valves, an optional round tubular frame, a stainless
steel conduit and watershed NEMA4X electrical enclosures.
